Jon B. Felice

Jon B. Felice has closed thousands of loans throughout New York State for many of the nations' top companies, including Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Citibank, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, Guaranteed Rate, Mortgage Masters, TD Bank, Capital One Bank, and Bank of America. He also represents cooperative corporations, large real-estate management companies, and real-estate brokerage firms, as well as hundreds of individual purchasers and sellers of apartments and homes.

Jon graduated Cornell University, College of Arts and Sciences, with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. In 1986, he worked as a legislative intern in the United States Senate. He drafted hearing material for New York's Senator Alfonse D'Amato, and conducted research in the Library of Congress on various New York issues, including real-estate law. Thereafter, Jon attended New York Law School in Manhattan, where he served as senior staff member on the school's Law Journal.

Upon graduation from law school, Jon took a position with Fischbein, Badillo, Harding, Wagner, a well known real-estate law firm with strong political ties in New York City. As a senior associate, Jon conducted hundreds of closing for Harry Helmsley, and represented developer Peter Kalikow on ten different buildings in Manhattan. In 1990, Jon started his own real-estate law firm.

Within a short time, Jon was chosen as the Designated Counsel in New York for the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation ("Freddie Mac"). He also served a two-year term on Freddie Mac's Vendor Advisory Board, and attended many "best practice" seminars, at Freddie Mac's request, as its New York representative counsel. In 1998, Jon was selected to represent the Federal National Mortgage Association ("Fannie Mae") at the Madison Square Garden Home Loan Convention, and to handle hundreds of REO closings for Fannie Mae.

Through the present, Jon continues to represent some of the key players in New York's real-estate market, and is widely recognized for his work in the mortgage and real-estate industry. A number of his cases set precedent in New York and have been covered in the New York Law Journal as front page headline stories.

(Jon's entity, Jon B. Felice & Associates, P.C., is of counsel to the firm.)
